the daily catch

 branding social media

A concept for The Daily Catch. Although they have multiple locations, I wanted to create a design system based on the history of the North End location, and the Sicilian roots of the food served there. Modifying a sans serif typeface into a split serif Tuscan, and creating a streamlined color system, I was able to bring the charm and character of what one thinks of as “traditional Italian seafood” into a modern design, without it being obvious.

The idea for the menu is simple and interchangeable since fresh seafood can be a tricky item to obtain certain times of the year, the client should be able to change parts of the menu when needed.

The Daily Catch should be an entire experience: waiting in line with friends, to ordering dinner in an intimate setting, a postcard or matches should be there to commemorate the event.
